I've recently purchased a second hand 307. I've only had it a couple of weeks and on 3 occassions the engine has cut out when I've slowed down to approach a junction or roundabout. The first time it happened (day 5) I put it down to the fact that it was me! but as it's happened another 2 times I know it's not me!
But today the engine has cut out on me 3 times while driving at a steady 50~60mph. No warning, just a complete loss of power followed by the STOP light. On the first 2 occasions the engine restarted first try but on the 3rd occasion it took a few attempts to get going again. Each restart has been followed by some severe hiccuping and spluttering.1.4hdi cutting out. I would appreciate any suggestions for my 307s problem. Its a 2003 307 1.4hdi estate with approx230k miles done. Oil and filter changes every 7 to 8k miles and always great to drive. Recently it started to cut out when revs dropped at lights or a junction, not every time but approx 2 times out of 5 changed the fuel filter
